Money = Happiness.
So they teach us at school and everywhere in our society:
'more money is always better' that is the mantra.
That is why - mainly- we decide to study and go to
University so to get a better career and more money.
IF studying at University, getting a master or Phd would
guarantee a lower salary than say, a bar tender or a postman then I believe my
father, and many millions others, would have not pushed us to study, say
accountancy, like mine did, and people would only study what they truly would
love to study and do that with their full passionate hearts - not just their
minds obeying to society.
But it isn't the case for many - very few can follow and
have enough trust in themselves and are strong enough to do so – I didn’t. Most
succumb to our society brainwashing cycle - the same that washed your family's
brains together with whole Countries - and so most are simply forced un-happy
and confused 'individual' copycats.
Eventually we grow to put money as the very number one
priority in our lives, with virtually no competitors.
But we forget one single yet most important variable without
which the equation would inevitably turn out to give us just a wrong number –
totally wrong.
Now, if by having a wrong result we would only risk to get a
poor mark or even having to re-sit an exam, we would still be fine.
However, unconsciously for the first part of our lives and
consciously thereafter, we make money as our master, our lighthouse in our
unique, one time only, priceless lives. That is the one-time life we cannot
ever buy back, not a single breath, not even with tonnes of gold, yet money
rules our arses.
I believe that it is important to daily remember that when
the time is up we will just die, no more air in our lungs no matter what – millionaires
die too and sometimes a lot earlier and without having realised that the
biggest gift or ‘thing’ of all, their very lives, was given to them – just like
to you – for free.
In spite of knowing that, we are all hypnotised and ruled by
that illusion of 'money= happiness' even if right now we say we are not. Our
ENTIRE lives and society is ruled by m o n e y. We forget ourselves, who we
are, our very own lives to make more money and to reach that goal without
seeing that what we are exchanging that with is our air on our lungs, heart
beats, we call that life.
I wonder why. Could it be our own choice giving money that
much attention? Could we re-focus our attention elsewhere? on who we are? Could
we realise if we are doing things FIRST to make money? What's really important
for our happiness? Is who we are really, not what they told us, or what we
think we are based on things we learned, is that an important question to
unravel before we die?

A note:
In England once a friend told me that having too often a
smile on one face and showing happiness, wasn’t a wise thing to do especially
in the working place. I asked why and I was told that to be happy you must have
something to be happy about as being happy without a reason is interpreted as
silly maybe even childlike, a sign of frivolousness, a little dim person. We
are blessed by the Sun but not all understand that so the vast majority the
onces that do not since they were the majority, they created the rules of the
game called it society, work etc. The rest is just what you see
Whaen you open your eyes every morning. Just use those eyes
to see not to judge and then think that your life has only a number of days
left. Then look again and see, feel who is living life and who is surviving it.
It is our own choice the way we want to see that half glass but you will not be having that choice for ever.
